I started PT for the ankle / heel issues yesterday…. Yay! My PT is Andrea, whom I’ve worked with before on running injuries. She’s identified that the tendon is better as I had no pain with resistance, or trouble with resistance for that matter. Plantar fasciitis is yuck. She’s just reading “Born to Run” so in love with barefoot running being wonderful. I’m considering Altras.
She had said I’m free to bike, swim, and start tiny bits of running to check tolerance. She recognizes that fixes for PF are a crap shoot, so we’re going to play with it. I can start with 4×400 slow run with 800 walk in between. Will begin this weekend as pain tells me my heel is not up to that today.
